Billing & Subscriptions

Understanding the AACWorkflow pricing model — subscription plans and prepaid credit top-ups.

AACWorkflow uses a dual billing model: a subscription plan that grants monthly credits and feature access, plus optional prepaid credit top-ups for additional usage.

Subscription Plans

Every user starts on the Free plan. Upgrading unlocks more agents, workspaces, and advanced features.

Credits Model

Usage is measured in credits:

  • 1 USD = 1,000 credits
  • 1 credit = 1,000,000 micro-credits (internal precision unit)

Credits are consumed by agent task execution:

ActivityEstimated cost
Agent task execution~100 credits per task
Skill compilation~50 credits per skill
Agent storage (per day)~10 credits per agent
Webhook execution~5 credits per call

These are estimates. Actual credit consumption depends on the task complexity and model used. Check Billing → Usage in the UI for real-time balance and history.

Credit Top-Ups

Need extra credits beyond your plan? Purchase prepaid credit packs — they never expire and stack on top of your subscription:

TierPriceCreditsBonus
Starter$1010,000
Standard$2525,000+1,000
Large$100100,000+7,500

Top-ups are available to any plan level and can be purchased any time from Settings → Billing.

Feature Gating

Each plan comes with feature flags that control which capabilities are available. The workspace backend enforces these limits:

  • Agent count: you can't create more agents than your plan allows
  • Workspace count: additional workspaces require a plan upgrade
  • Cloud runtimes: only available on Pro and above
  • SSO / Audit logs: Team plan and above

The frontend reads feature flags on app load and hides unavailable UI elements automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I switch plans mid-cycle? Yes. When you upgrade, the new plan takes effect immediately and your credits reset to the new plan's allotment. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

What happens if I run out of credits? Tasks will pause until you add more credits (via top-up or plan upgrade). Your data and configuration remain intact.

Do unused credits roll over? Subscription credits reset each billing period. Prepaid top-up credits never expire.

Can I use AACWorkflow Cloud credits on my self-hosted instance? Yes. Credits are tied to your account, not to a specific deployment. Self-hosted instances can connect to the billing service to use the same credit system.
